I'll post my analysis shortly, but I think we're all looking at the debate with the wrong context. Palin didn't kill the campaign tonight, but all she really did was play to her base. This isn't an election where it's a close race anymore. The last two weeks have all but killed McCain's chances of winning.

Palin needed to do more than just survive, she needed to start making a dent in Obama's numbers. She didn't.

She may have tied the debate, but she lost the bigger goal.
